Artist's Statement

Chinese calligraphy is a very broad, philosophical, and profound art and some people call it Heart Painting or Mind Image and even the first art of China. It vividly reflects the mental status of the calligrapher. However, it is only meaningful to those who would like to appreciate it. Thus its abstract beauty needs be interpreted and understood by those who have a close mind-set. By developing this communication of creating and appreciating, we will realize that the beauty lies within the unique form of Chinese characters and our human souls.

This website is dedicated to Chinese Brush Arts: calligraphy, painting, and seal carving. I would like to share with you all the abundant beauty of the arts by providing reliable educational resources to learn and/or practice those arts.
