Plano Asian Heritage Festival

@ The Haggard Park

May 6, 2007

Many thanks to  May Hsu, the manager of MetroBank in Plano (www.metrobank-na.com/), for including Chinese calligraphy demo in our community service.

MetroBank has been successfully serving the Asian community in banking and cultural activities for almost twenty years. It offers quality financial services and banking for the fast growing business in Texas where diversities of cultures gather together from around the world.

The weather turned out to be very fine today. The festival (www.asianamericanheritage.org) has attracted thousands of people each year.

In the interview, we introduced Chinese calligaphy to the general public in the West about its aethetic, cultural, philosophical, spiritual, and longevity values as developed in ancient China. We are also grateful for MetroBank's great contribution to the Asian American communities over the past 20 years or so.

The interview was broadcasted on TV.

We are grateful for all the festival's committee and Ms. Khatina Wahab in organizing this international cultural festival. She is also a good friend of the Chinese brush painter, Maria Hsieh.
